Welsh joined the faculty at UT in 2005 and served as director of the university”s Florida Entrepreneur and Family Business Center.
Since 2005, UT has added an undergraduate major in entrepreneurship and an MBA concentration in entrepreneurship, said Frank Ghannadian, dean of the university”s John H. Sykes College of Business. Welsh and other faculty designed a program were responsible for the design of a newly debuted graduate program in real estate venturing, recognized in February as the best of the Best New Programs in the Country by the Small Business Institute.
Welsh could not be reached for comment Wednesday afternoon, but in a letter to the Tampa Bay Business Journal said that she was ‘pleased with all the wonderful accomplishments’ at UT during her time at the university.
