Firms need ethical business culture.
HA NOI ? Developing an ethical business culture was crucial for Vietnamese enterprises, especially since the country?s accession to the WTO, said the vice chairman of the Viet Nam Association for Small- and Medium-Sized Enterprises, Truong Duc Ngai.

Speaking at a conference in Ha Noi yesterday, Ngai said that ethical business practices would enhance the competitiveness of enterprises and cement the strength of the national economy overall in the context of global integration.

In recent years, many Vietnamese enterprises have successfully endeavored to develop a stronger business culture, and some have even invited foreign experts to help, said Dr Le Minh Phung from the publication Communist Review.

Ethical business practices extended to business performance, governance, team spirit, contribution to the community, observance of the law and labour conditions and benefits, Phung said.
