Cobar”s Business Association has called for nominations in seven categories for this year”s Great Cobar Business Awards.
Nominations close on June 20 for the 2008 awards which will comprise of seven categories involving retail/personal services, manufacturing trades and construction, hospitality and professional services and new business.
Special awards will also be on offer for environmental achievement, Indigenous business and apprentices/ trainees.
The award winners will be announced during a presentation dinner at the Cobar Bowling and Golf Club on August 29.
To encourage community involvement in the award process, members of the public are being asked to nominate their favourite business in each of the categories listed.
Cobar Business Association president Michael Cox said anyone could nominate a business and a lucky draw prize would be available for the person who nominated their favourite business.
