Poor control a threat to ad industry.
The Association of Indonesian Outdoor Advertising Companies (AMLI) have called on the government to set up a special agency dedicated to supervising outdoor advertisements.

Years of unhealthy competition caused by neglect, mismanagement and corruption in government administration have put the outdoor advertising industry in an impossible position. There need to be a concerted effort to avoid a painful crisis, business players said in a recent meeting with the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.

Nuke Mayasaphira, secretary-general of AMLI, said poor government supervision had led to anarchic deployment of outdoor advertising sites, with opaque permit administration and high costs.
